At Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, we always strive to improve our performance. One of the ways we do this is to listen to our customers and change our services based on the feedback they give us.
Alongside the feedback we’ve received from customers, we’re committed to improving your experience… Introducing our new online portal which has been designed with your needs in mind. We’ve invested substantially in this innovative system so that for the first time you can now view and submit applications and track their progress at the touch of a button.

Frequently asked questions about the new portal
You can apply for the below five services via the portal and track these applications as their status changes.
- New sewer connection
- New water connection
- Adoption of a public sewer
- Public sewer diversion
- Building over a sewer
All other applications can still be applied for online via the dedicated application forms, just not via the portal.
Simply sign up for a portal account via our website, using your email address. First of all, you’ll need to verify your email address. We’ll send an automated email to you which contains a verification code. Enter the verification code into the sign up window and you’ll then be able to choose your password and create your online account.
If you don’t want to use your email address, then you can also sign up using your social media account.
Once you’ve signed up for an online account, it can take up to 24 hours for your applications for to be visible on the portal.
Yes you can. We are still accepting hardcopy application forms via the post. You can download the hardcopy application forms via the portal. Please fill them in and send them to Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, PO Box 3146, Linea, Fortran Road, Cardiff, CF30 0EH. If you’re posting the forms to us, make sure you also include your payment made payable to Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. Incorrect postage costs could result in your application form being returned by the Post Office, so check the weight and postage costs beforehand.
Once you login to your online account, each application process will have a status bar that you’ll be able to see which will show you where you are throughout each stage.
You will always be able to see the progress of your applications by logging into your account. Our team will contact you to discuss your proposals and request any further information to support your application.
All our developer services customers, including self-lay providers, small and large developers, consultants and homeowners (for example who are applying for a single build over sewer agreement).
Payments can be made quickly and easily through the portal. Alternatively, you may make payment through a variety of ways, including by cheque, BACS, our phone line or via the portal.
Yes you can. Simply click the cancel cases button.
All applications submitted before 12th October 2020 will not be visible on your portal account, however you will still be able to continue to liaise with our team to progress the application, by contacting us on 0800 917 2652 or developer.services@dwrcymru.com.
